All of our plans (likely like all of yours too) have changed for most of 2020. For example, this year we were going to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary in an exotic tropical island since we were going to be “near by” for a conference. That didn’t happen. In fact we haven’t been on a plane since last October. (Eric is not remotely sad about that, though. He really dislikes airports.) For now we have decided to stay put and not travel even inside the country, just in case we aren’t allowed back in the city if another lock-down takes place (virus cases are through the roof).
Today I decided to edit pictures from a trip we took about a year ago to the south of Kyrgyzstan, near the Tajik border. The place was spectacular and barren at the same time. Here are some of my favorite pictures of our adventure to Sary-Mogol, a village at about 3500 meters (11,500 feet) above sea level. I hope you enjoy them and that they make you feel like you’re traveling somewhere away from home.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of the documentary “The Story of the Weeping Camel.” A very interesting film!!
You are very welcome! I’ve never heard of that documentary, but I’ll check it out
