Welcoming 2020 Like a Child

2020 is upon us. Some may feel overwhelmed by the pressure (internal or external) to make decisions regarding how we want to live and what we want to achieve in the rapidly coming new year. Others may feel enthralled by the prospects of a fresh start and possibly exciting opportunities.

Regardless of you may be gearing up to receive the next 366 days (I love extra days), I would like to encourage you enjoy every moment of it. Like children.

Below is a compilation of photographs from a New Year’s party at our friends’ preschool. These children don’t have much, but you can clearly see that they are living in the moment. They dance like nobody is watching. They receive the simplest of gifts as if it was the best gift ever.

May you receive the new year like these precious ones. And when the hard times come (because they will), may you have a solid rock on which you stand, a loving Daddy in which you can take refuge!
